12 Days of Giveaways

Kim Longhurst, one of my favourite illustrators (who makes the most
amazing prints ever!) launched a seriously cool giveaway today called
12 Days of Giveaways.

Over the next 12 working days she'll be introducing us to some of her
favourite crafters, artists, jewelry designers and shops and giving
away something they have made. Just follow The Painted Blackbird and
get all your friends to follow as well. The person who gets the most
friends to follow wins 12 very special gifts, which will include one
or two of Kim's gorgeous prints. Awesome!

Meet my Package Project partner

Her name is Dura and she's a designer/illustrator in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia. She loves drawing girls, doing fashion illustrations and
painting. She also makes handmade paper dolls out of the fashion
characters she draws, called Fashion-na-nimal Darlings. Go have a
look at her blog. Couldn't help myself, just had to show pics of her
kitties. The two cuddlers are Coco and Romeo and the sleeping
beauty is Lulu.

Dura and I have sent our packages and I'm really excited!

A Miffy Brooch for Nelia

Nelia loves Miffy as much as I love cuddling little
furry animals, so her boyfriend asked me to make her
a special Miffy brooch for her birthday.

My presents

Angie always has something fun up her sleeve!
I participated in her 'Present Project 2' where people get paired up and then send each other a gift (or a zillion flippen rad gifts). I got paired with Angie and oh my gosh I could never imagine the awesomeness she had wrapped up for me. Check out my presents below...I am officially the luckiest girl in the world! Thanks Angie!

happy&sad corn brooch

This was a really fun custom order where the brief was to make a corn brooch where the cob could be removed from the husk. One side of the cob has a happy face and the other side a sad face. The leaves of the husk can also be moved and shaped.
